Go Goldfields

Engaging with parents in the co-design, implementation and governance of our work together is a key factor in the success of the Go Goldfields initiative. We believe that to achieve our shared aspiration of “our community aspiring, achieving and living a full life”, those whose lives are affected must be involved at every level of the change. It is not always easy and we do not always get it right. The Go Goldfields journey of sharing power started four years ago and has led to strong collaboration and shared understanding of the challenges we face together in our community to improve the lives of children.
This presentation will share how we developed the governance structure and are building the enabling environment, as well as some practical implications in maintaining this level of engagement and some of the learnings and successes
